Job summary

Stadler is seeking a Commissioning Engineer in Utah to test electrical assemblies on railcar projects. You will load software onto PLC subsystems, perform electrical modifications, and conduct tests per procedures on passenger trains.

Occasional travel within the United States (about 10%) and several weeks of initial offsite training are expected. The role requires vocational electrician experience, a Journeyman or related background, and a solid quality standard.

Qualifications

• Electrician, Journeyman or related field with vocational training.
• College courses in automation are a plus.
• Several years' field experience; railroad experience is a plus.
• High standard of quality.
• Goal-oriented, structured, adaptable in a dynamic environment.
• Fluent English; willing to learn German (preferred).
• Team player with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of electrical circuits.
• Loading software on subsystems and PLCs.
• Electrical modifications and changes of assemblies.
• Performing tests according to procedures on passenger trains.
• Assist Supervisor in developing test procedures, manuals and reports.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Travel within US (~10% or TBD), several weeks initial training offsite.
