Job summary

Road & Rail Services is hiring a Railroad Maintenance & Equipment Technician for Mulberry, Florida. This full-time, local position involves outdoor work, operating equipment, and hands-on construction and maintenance projects related to railroad tracks.

Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing tracks, removing and replacing ties/rail, and maintaining a safe, organized jobsite while following safety requirements. Lifting up to 50 pounds and varied weather conditions are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, farming, landscaping, industrial maintenance, railroad work, or heavy equipment operation is preferred
• Ability to perform physically demanding work for an entire shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable bending, kneeling, climbing, walking, and standing for extended periods
• Willing and able to work outdoors in heat, rain, cold, and other changing conditions
• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely as part of a crew
• Equipment operation or mechanical experience is a plus

• Complete additional track maintenance duties as assigned

Compensation And Benefits

• Starting pay of $20.00 per hour
