Job summary

Hulcher Services Inc. is seeking a motivated Laborer to assist in clearing railroad derailments by lifting and moving derailed rail cars and locomotives, and performing related tasks on environmental sites and rail construction. This full-time role includes travel up to 50% and 24/7 emergency response operations.

You will operate tools, maintain equipment, and work in demanding outdoor environments, with benefits, training, and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to work on call 24/7 in emergency response environment.
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must be able to qualify for a Commercial Driver License.
• Outdoor work experience preferred.
• Must be able to use or learn to use tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provides ground support for operations.
• Carries, handles and detaches/attaches heavy chains, blocks and cables.
• Climbs on and crawls under derailed railroad cars and other equipment.
• Cleans, maintains and sets-up equipment requiring use of tools.
• Operates cutting torch, hand and power tools, and welding equipment.
• Lifts 150 lbs. max with frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Works at elevated heights on railroad cars, bridges, or in water.
• Maintains required equipment service records.
• Safely uses company tools and equipment.
