Job summary

Loram in Minnesota is seeking a Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence Intern to support planning, research, development, and implementation of new image processing and data analysis technologies for railway applications. You will work with the R&D Engineering team, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute across the product life cycle from prototype to production systems.

Proficiency with Python, PyTorch, OpenCV, and data tooling is helpful.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS or higher degree in Engineering or related field and should have achieved junior status.
• Complete core coursework for the chosen discipline.
• Solid programming experience in Python and ML concepts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement ML and CV algorithms for classification, identification, and robotics.
• Assist planning and execution of software testing activities for AI projects.
• Collaborate with team to deploy AI models in real-time inspection systems.
