Job summary

PSC Group, a leader in railcar handling and site logistics, is seeking full-time Railcar Repair Technicians to safely service heavy equipment, railcars, and tracks while completing repairs.

Role emphasizes strict adherence to safety rules, quality standards, and teamwork. On-the-job training is provided; 18+ and ability to pass drug screening, background check, and PPE requirements are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience is a plus but not required; on-the-job training is available.
• May require a valid Driver's License and/or a TWIC card depending on location.
• 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams.
• Speak, write, read fluent English.
• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required.
• Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interprets work orders and follows blueprints/schematics to perform repairs.
• Uses basic mechanical skills to weld, cut and gouge on rails and equipment.
• Notifies of materials or equipment needed to complete tasks.
• Follows safety rules and maintains a clean work area per ARS/EH&S policies.
• Ensures ARS and customer quality assurance standards are met.
• Performs other duties as assigned to complete tasks.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Interprets job work orders and follows blueprints / schematics to perform required repairs
• Utilizes basic mechanical skills and builds knowledge of machines and tools to weld, cut and gouge
• Notifies of any materials and/or equipment required to ensure completion of job tasks
• Follows all safety rules, keeps work area clean and complies with all ARS Environmental Health and Safety Policies
• Ensures AAR, ARS and customer quality assurance standards are met
• Completes any other duties as assigned in order to complete the task
