Transco Rail Services is seeking a Railcar Repair Technician in Seadrift, TX for full-time work. You will perform railcar repairs, inspections, and ensure compliance with repair procedures, while supporting customers and maintaining accuracy in invoicing and work orders.

Experience with railcar systems, strong teamwork, and safety awareness are essential. This role requires the ability to work in varying weather conditions and to pass a company physical exam and drug screening.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have mechanical aptitude, ability to problem-solve and to make decisions.
• Ability to use hand tools such as pipe wrenches, pry bars, wrenches, ratchets, etc.
• Must handle and successfully complete basic railcar repairs and inspections.
• Must work in all types of weather conditions; valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Railcar Repair – uses current repair procedures and conducts inspections; performs repairs as necessary.
• Customer Support – meets customer requirements to ensure satisfaction of work.
• Clerical – ensures invoicing, inspection, and work order information is complete.
