Transco Rail Services, part of Marmon Holdings, is seeking a Railcar Repair Technician to perform repairs and inspections on tank cars. You will lead with safety, meet customer expectations, and handle related clerical tasks. A valid driver’s license and ability to travel are required.

You will maintain certifications, follow AAR regulations, and work with a team in a fast-paced environment to ensure quality and compliance across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to problem-solve and make decisions.
• Ability to use common hand tools to perform repairs and inspections.
• Capable of performing basic railcar repairs and inspections.
• Strong customer relations and teamwork skills.
• Must follow safety procedures and adapt to weather conditions.
• Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Railcar Repair – uses current repair procedures and performs repairs as needed.
• Conducts railcar inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Customer Support – meets customer expectations and ensures satisfaction.
• Clerical – handles invoicing, inspection and work order information.
• Maintains required certifications and familiarity with AAR rules.
• Other work-related tasks as assigned.

This person must demonstrate good leadership and team skills while being a safety-conscious person.Railcar Repair – always uses current repair procedures. Conducts railcar inspections to ensure cars are in compliance and performs repairs as necessary.Customer Support – Meets the expectations and requirements of all customers to ensure their satisfaction of work.Clerical – ensures that all necessary invoicing, inspection, work order information is complete.Maintains all certifications, complete and maintain required certifications, demonstrates strong familiarity with AAR rules and regulations.Other work-related tasks as assigned.General Requirements:High school diploma or GED required.Must have mechanical aptitude, ability to problem-solve and to make decisions.
