Job summary

Stadler US is seeking a Railcar Maintenance Technician (Electrician) to inspect, diagnose, repair, and service electrical systems on passenger railcars. The role requires reading schematics, using multimeters, and following FRA regulations to ensure safe operation and fleet reliability.

You will support senior technicians, perform preventive maintenance, and document all work in accordance with company standards. Strong safety practices and physical capability are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; electrical maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical theory, safety practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and voltage meters.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components on railcars per FRA regulations and company procedures.
• Diagnose faults using testing tools and schematics; read electrical diagrams and manuals.
• Perform preventive maintenance to improve electrical system reliability.
• Assist with inspections of HVAC controls, door systems, and passenger information systems.
• Complete maintenance records and reports in accordance with FRA standards.
