Job summary

Transco Railcar Repair in Sioux City, IA, part of Marmon Holdings, is seeking a Car Technician to handle cleaning and inspection of railcar interiors and components. You will work at a bench or on a shop floor, following Tactical Cleaning policies and customer specifications.

Responsibilities include entering confined spaces with PPE, performing basic maintenance, and maintaining a tidy work area. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to pass a drug screen and a medical exam.

Qualifications

• Ability to enter confined spaces wearing PPE with limited lighting to clean.
• Clean interior of tank and hopper cars in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Inspect cleaned railcars interiors for customer and company requirements.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area and report hazards.
• Physical activities requiring use of arms and legs and moving the whole body.
• Work in confined spaces and at heights above 4 feet with PPE and fall protection.
• Able to pass drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Clean interior of tank and hopper cars in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Inspect cleaned railcars interiors for compliance with customer and company requirements.
• Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner and report potential hazards.
• Perform physical activities, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
