Candidates should have a Class A CDL, a current DOT medical card, and at least 3 years of heavy equipment experience. Strong attention to detail and reliable attendance are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Valid driver’s license required; must not have any major driving offenses within the last three years.
• Current Class A CDL and current DOT medical card.
• At least 2 years of flatbed/equipment hauling experience preferred.
• Dependable and consistent attendance/punctuality.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Demonstrated initiative to proactively seek out work and complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of heavy equipment to load/unlock trucks and railcars and move materials in the yard.
• Measure and identify rail to determine proper sizes and classification, identifying flaws or defects.
• Inspect and maintain equipment in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Practice proper housekeeping with clean, properly maintained tools and equipment.
• Maintain compliance with all safety requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Complete and maintain all required safety training and certifications.
• Complete all duties and responsibilities assigned to Heavy Equipment Operator.
