Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical assembly, maintenance, or production environments (rail, automotive, aerospace, or similar).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Proficiency using hand tools, torque tools, and mechanical equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments (standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs).
• Experience on rail vehicles, heavy equipment, or large-scale assemblies (preferred).
• Familiarity with torque specifications, fastener standards, and mechanical tolerances (preferred).
• Technical certification or training in mechanical assembly or industrial maintenance (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Mechanical Assembly & Disassembly: Assemble and disassemble components and subsystems per drawings and instructions.
• Install, align, and secure parts using appropriate fastening methods and torque specs.
• Conduct adjustments and alignments to meet tolerances and functionality.
• Inspect components for wear, damage, or defects and report findings.
• Read blueprints and follow procedures; verify parts against specifications.
