Job summary

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC in Warrensburg, MO is seeking a Wiring Operator to assemble electronic equipment, cable and mechanical assemblies and generate wiring tags for railroad signaling systems.

You will interpret engineering schematics, use crimpers, hand and power tools, lift up to 50 pounds, and work with a team to meet efficiency and safety goals. Training wage starts at $20.19/hour, rising to $21.00/hour after 90 days.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED required.
  • Ability to use pneumatic/standard crimpers, hand tools and power tools, solder iron.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds; bend, stoop, squat, stretch and reach.
  • Read and understand fractions; distinguish basic colors; work in confined spaces.
  • Stand on feet for long periods; work repetitively stripping and crimping wire.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and wire projects (bungalows, cases, racks) for railroad signaling using schematics.
  • Follow verbal/written instructions and drawings to determine wiring methods.
  • Create wiring identification tags from schematics/drawings.
  • Maintain safety, meet department metrics, and work as part of a team.
