Job summary

PSC Group is hiring a full-time Loader – Switching Technician in the United States. The role involves inspecting railcars, connecting loading hoses, weighing cars, and completing paperwork to ensure safe and efficient product transfer.

In addition, the position requires planning railcar movements, coordinating with the rail team, and potentially operating equipment to move cars. Candidates should be 18+, legally eligible to work in the U.S., and able to pass screenings.

Qualifications

• Speak, write, read fluent English.
• Must be 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• May require a valid Driver’s License and/or a valid TWIC card depending on location.
• Must pass a drug screen, physical and background check.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and clean railcars before loading to ensure mechanical soundness.
• Connect or disconnect loading arm hose for product transfer and inspect for leaks.
• Weigh railcars and complete required paperwork.
• Plan railcar moves by examining track lists to spot, separate, load or build for shipment.
• May operate a trackmobile or locomotive to move railcars safely.
• Communicate with rail team, leadership and customer contacts.
• Perform other duties as assigned to complete the job.
