Job summary

WSP is inviting graduates to join its Rail teams in 2027, supporting design, delivery, operation and improvement across rail infrastructure in the UK.

You’ll gain exposure to multidisciplinary projects from major programmes to station developments, working with experienced engineers and specialists to deliver safe, efficient rail travel. The two-year Graduate Development Programme blends structured learning, mentoring and hands-on project experience.

Qualifications

• Requires at least a 2:2 in a relevant master’s degree such as Mechanical, Electrical, Systems or Building Services Engineering.
• Planning to start work in September 2027.
• Interest in rail infrastructure, transport systems and multidisciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical designs and coordinated BIM models.
• Analyse operational or technical data and contribute to reports and designs.
• Attend site visits and engage with clients and stakeholders.
• Solve complex engineering challenges across rail sectors.
• Collaborate with engineers, planners and specialists across disciplines.
