Job summary

Ayesa Engineering is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join the Rail/Bridges division in Manchester, UK. The candidate will work within a project team to deliver geotechnical services to clients worldwide, ensuring designs are robust, on time and compliant with responsibilities.

The role requires a degree in geotechnical engineering, minimum 2 years of relevant experience, and Chartered status or progression toward it.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field and working towards chartered status
• Experience in geotechnical works (minimum 2 years)
• Adheres to codes of practice, design standards and H&S regulations
• Represents Ayesa professionally with clients & prospects
• Committed to Continued Professional Development (CPD)
• Proven technical knowledge in pile designs, retaining walls, deep excavations, tunneling, earthworks
• Ability to use relevant software and perform analysis
• Experience on rail projects desirable

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a project team to deliver high quality services to clients
• Ensure geotechnical designs meet standards and are robust and commissionable
• Ensure designs are delivered on time and meet client brief
• Inspect construction work and ensure correct implementation of designs
• Monitor processes for safety, regulatory and ethical compliance
• Make judgments and take initiative on project tasks
• Assist at tender stage of projects
• Manage projects in line with IMS requirements
