Job summary

CSX Corporation is hiring a Freight Conductor to safely coordinate train crews on a freight train, place rail cars for loading and unloading, and makeup/breakdown trains in a rail yard, customer facility or similar locations. New hires will be eligible for retention bonuses of $3,000 after 1 year and $2,000 after year 2, subject to terms of the applicable direct hire agreement.

You must pass a drug test (hair follicle and urine), medical exam, and background check.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating train crews is preferred.
• Knowledge of railroad safety regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate freight train crews safely.
• Place rail cars for loading and unloading.
• Makeup and breakdown trains in yards or facilities.
