Job summary

Professional Transportation, Inc. (PTI) in Lafayette, IN is seeking van drivers to safely transport railroad crews. Starting pay is $13.00 per hour with shift differentials for qualifying shifts. No prior professional driving experience is required.

As a PTI Van Driver you will promote safety, meet on-time performance goals, and deliver dependable service. PTI provides company vehicles and fuel, health insurance options, paid vacation, a 401(k), and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 3 years driving experience (personal or work-related).
• Able to pass post-offer drug screening, MVR, and homeland security background check.
• Be able to arrive at the branch location within 30 minutes to ensure on-time performance.

Responsibilities

• Promote and practice safety awareness.
• Prioritize on-time performance to meet customer needs.
• Pick up and drop off customers safely to their destinations.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Communicate timely with Dispatch Center.
• Open and close all doors/hatches for crew members.
• Report defects or issues found during vehicle inspection to supervisor.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
