Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Rail Crew Team Lead to supervise the rail team, ensuring operations are safe and compliant with federal and state regulations. The role involves directing daily tasks, coaching staff, and collaborating with Rail Supervisor to resolve field issues.

The position prioritizes safety and teamwork, with a focus on maintaining communication and adherence to standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED.
3 years of experience working with rail, landfill, or waste operations.
Knowledge of basic computer skills and Microsoft Office.
Ability to pass Rail Safe training during their first 90 days of employment.
Preferred leadership experience within the industry.

Responsibilities

Facilitates the safe operation of Rail equipment in compliance with the company operating safety policies and procedures.
Conducts routine Rail equipment and track inspections and preventative maintenance on rail equipment and track.
Follow the company's reporting policies and be the dedicated "first contact" in the event of an accident or injury in the field.
Move and position Rail Cars using railcar moving equipment.
Provide positive guidance while coaching other Rail personnel throughout the day.
Create and maintain lines of communication between the Rail Supervisor and front-line employees.
