Job summary

RailWorks Corporation seeks a Laborer/Operator to safely operate industrial trucks for transporting construction materials to railroad sites. You will perform labor tasks in the field using hand and power tools.

Responsibilities include driving to job sites, hauling equipment, assisting with loading and unloading, and maintaining safety and site organization according to railroad rules. Must have CDL and clean driving record; travel locally required.

Qualifications

• A valid Commercial Driver's License.
• Knowledge of safety requirements and procedures.
• Must be able to travel locally, some overnight.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and prepares construction sites to eliminate hazards.
• Measures and marks openings to lay out work areas.
• Controls traffic near work zones.
• Removes and replaces track components and rails.
• Drills holes and tightens bolts to join rails.
• Raises rails for tie removal and replacement.
• Removes ballast and aligns track components.
• Digs holes and trenches and assists with signaling equipment.
• Operates commercial trucks in loading/unloading and transportation.
