Job summary

HITACHI RAIL STS USA, INC. is seeking an Associate Assembler in Batesburg, SC to prepare, assemble, and inspect components in a fast-paced production area. The role requires reading blueprints, following precise instructions, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

You will log data, keep tools in order, and collaborate with teammates to meet daily production goals. Qualifications include 0-3 years in assembly, good communication, and basic MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of assembler or similar experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and gather parts, tools, and equipment for the assembly process.
• Ensure tools and equipment are in good working order.
• Assemble products and components, following blueprints, schematics, or work instructions.
• Utilise pallet jacks, hand tools, power tools, and potentially machinery to complete assembling tasks.
• Inspect assembled products for accuracy, completeness, and compliance, to include HSE safety critical requirements and great attention to detail.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Collaborate with other assemblers and team members to meet production goals.
• Identify and report any issues or malfunctions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and logs and enter data into relevant systems.
• Maintain complete and accurate maintenance records.
• Adhere to safety and quality guidelines and company policies.
