Job summary

HDR, Inc. invites engineering students to join as a Freight Rail Bridge Intern/Co-Op in our Raleigh, NC office.

You will gain real-world experience on rail projects and collaborate with mentors across disciplines within HDR’s Transportation Business Group. You’ll apply standard engineering techniques, develop problem-solving and communication skills, and contribute to team efforts while being supported by a structured intern/co-op program.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills are required.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world experience on exciting projects.
• Connect with recent college graduates and company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs.
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Perform assignments under direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager.
• Perform other duties as needed.
