Job summary

SWAT Environmental is seeking candidates within 15 miles of Littleton/Centennial, CO for hands-on radon mitigation installer roles. You will inspect homes, determine best placement of mitigation systems, and install components including fans, PVC piping, and sealing.

We provide paid training and certification, a company van for home travel, and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and 401(k). First-year earnings typically range from $45,000 to $60,000.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of construction or skilled trades experience.
• Able to lift a 60-pound ladder and work at height.
• Capable of working in confined spaces and at height.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and safe tool use.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and clean history.
• Willingness to obtain required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect homes and work with customers to determine optimal radon system placement.
• Install radon mitigation systems by drilling, cutting PVC, installing fans, and sealing openings.

At SWAT Environmental, we install “ Radon Mitigation Systems ” protect homes and businesses across the nation from the harmful effects of Radon , which is a naturally occurring, radioactive gas that escapes when uranium in the soil decays and can become concentrated in a home, seeping through cracks and openings in the foundation (basements). The EPA recommends that structures testing above 4 pCi/L (picocuries per liter) have a Radon Mitigation System installed.

** Company Van provided to take home daily / Paid Training & Certification **

• Inspect homes and work with customers to determine the most effective placement of radon mitigation systems.
• Install radon mitigation systems by drilling holes, cutting & running PVC pipes, installing fans, and sealing holes.

Who Qualifies?

• We are looking to give “ paid ” training & certification to those with hands-on experience in the following fields: (such as a Maintenance Techs • Plumbers/Pipe Fitters • Construction & Day Laborers • Roofers • HVAC Techs • Electricians, Carpenters • Handyman • Journeyman • Apprentices • Pest Control • Remodelers • Framers • Concrete/Brick Layers • Cell Tower Techs , etc.) who are looking for a career that enhances your skill sets. Required Skills/Abilities:

• 1+ years’ experience in construction, maintenance, or other skilled trades, or apprenticeship is preferred. (different for Iowa postings)
• Lift and carry a 60-pound ladder.
• Work on ladders at 40 feet or higher.
• Work in confined spaces (ability to turn, twist, bend, stoop, reach).
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Operate drill, hole-saw, coring drills, and other hand tools safely.
• Acquire and maintain required certifications.
• Use technology (mobile phones, tablets, laptops).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
