Job summary

NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes in Beloit, Wisconsin seeks an experienced QC support role within a cGMP laboratory and radiopharmaceutical manufacturing environment. You will assist with sampling, material inspection, and general laboratory testing while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

The position emphasizes on-the-floor QC presence, environmental monitoring, and handling of radioactive materials, with training on methods, procedures and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in chemistry, biology, or related scientific discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with basic to advanced metrological equipment.
• Knowledge of ALARA principles, operating radiation detection equipment, and handling of radioactive materials.
• Benchtop chemistry, titration, chemical ID testing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration.
• Operate analytical instrumentation.
• Provide on-the-floor QC presence for manufacturing operations.
• Perform incoming inspection of raw materials and components.
• Review and approve Receiving Inspection documents and ERP releases.
• Perform environmental monitoring tasks and plate reads.
• Isolate microorganisms.
• Support QA documents and test data, protocols, and SOPs.
• Safely handle radioactive material including dose monitoring, sampling, and contamination surveys.
• Maintain QC and Micro lab with housekeeping and inventory.
• Train others on methods, procedures and techniques.
• Participate in Project Teams and other meetings.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in chemistry, biology, or related scientific discipline

High school diploma or GED with 4+ years in a regulated industry
