Job summary

AdventHealth in Colorado is seeking a registered Radiologic Technologist for a full‑time day shift in Littleton. You will perform radiographic procedures, ensure patient safety, and support imaging workflows in a dynamic radiology department.

Required are ARRT certification, CPR, and good communication with patients and staff. A sign-on bonus of up to $7,500 is available, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree (preferred) in radiologic technology or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; ARRT certification and state licensure.
  • 1+ year radiology experience or new graduate eligibility.
  • Ability to operate radiographic equipment and related software.

Responsibilities

  • Operate radiographic equipment to complete requested procedures safely.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with patients and staff.
  • Prepare exam rooms and ensure equipment safety and cleanliness.
  • Perform radiologic procedures with correct positioning and technique.
  • Assist with data entry and use of radiology software (Cerner, Radnet, PACS).
  • Maintain continuing education and licensure as required.

Job Description

SIGN-ON BONUS up to $7,500.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, team members, and others of diverse backgrounds.
  • Moves, positions, and manipulates radiographic equipment to complete requested procedures safely.
  • Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist’s scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition, transporting patient, and using proper infection control techniques.
  • Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
  • Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging to include Surgery and Trauma.
  • Previous Radiologic Technologist experience [Preferred].
  • One year post certification experience required to evaluate and/or instruct student radiographers.
  • Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure that information is obtained and presented accurately.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray producing equipment, if applicable per facility.
  • Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry.
  • Able to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to use computer system for data entry and retrieval.
  • Patient care skills to care for Infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populations.
  • Must be able to independently perform radiographic procedures to departmental standards.
  • Demonstrates ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
  • Ability to learn and use radiology software packages such as Cerner, Radnet, PACS, etc.
  • Maintain responsibility for all required registries and licenses to perform Diagnostic Imaging.
  • Responsible to maintain all required continuing and annual education.
  • Knowledge of Diagnostic Radiological Procedures/Positions.
  • Ability to determine appropriate technical factors.
  • Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation Safety.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds.
  • Adult/and child/infant CPR [Required].
  • Ability to perform radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
  • Knowledge of communication styles and constant deployment of proper engagement behaviors when encountering patients, staff, and physicians.
  • This position requires knowledge of the use of computerized and radiographic equipment to perform diagnostic procedures in a manner consistent with minimal radiation exposure and maximum image quality.
  • The ability to communicate and receive instructions, verbally and written and carry them out as directed.
  • Must be able to operate radiographic equipment and work with electrical and radiant energy.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of general radiographic procedures.
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast pace, high patient volume environment.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Must have the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care that addressed the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age appropriate needs to the patient population served within the department.
