Mercy Health in Toledo, OH is seeking an X-Ray Technician to perform provider-ordered radiographic studies, position patients safely, and document encounters in the EMR. The role requires ARRT certification (state licensure preferred) and BLS as available, with about 1 year of related experience.
Proficiency with EPIC EHR and PACS is preferred, with willingness to travel to other facilities as needed. You will work within a team to uphold safety standards, manage equipment, and support quality
The X-Ray Technician performs digital X-ray studies on patients per the orders placed by providers. The X-Ray Technician is a multi-skilled clinical professional who works within the scope of practice to assist in patient care under the direction of the provider.

Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) (required)
State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed) If the job is performed in Virginia, State Licensure is required.
BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care) (required)
Associate's from an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) accredited institute (preferred)
1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care (preferred)
Experience With Radiology Information System (preferred)
EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred)
Picture archiving communication system (PACS) (preferred)

Medical Terminology and the ability to use standard office equipment, required
Strong oral and written communication skills, and an ability to collaboratively work with patients, families and teams within a high-volume environment, preferred
Strong attention to details and an ability to multitask without prior instruction or direction, preferred
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age, specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in departmental policies and procedures.
