Job summary

AdventHealth in Columbus, NC is seeking a Radiology Technologist for a StaffFlex contract. The role performs radiographic imaging, positions patients, operates imaging equipment, and collaborates with radiologists to ensure high-quality imaging.

Requirements include ARRT license, BLS, an AMA-approved degree, HS diploma, and strong English and computer skills. Schedule: Mon-Thu 8a-5p, Fri 8a-12p. Competitive hourly pay with diff.

• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Able to fully use radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Positions, moves, and assists patients to ensure accurate imaging results.
• Operates radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment safely and properly.
• Demonstrates knowledge to perform scans on patients of all ages.
• Screens patients for contrast allergies and verifies patient identity.
• Educates patients about imaging procedures and addresses concerns.
• Maintains infection control standards and safe care.
• Keeps imaging room stocked, organized, and clean.
• Performs clerical duties: calls, records, scheduling.
• Monitors patient condition and ensures comfort, safety, privacy.
• Obtains patient history and explains procedures.
• Collaborates with radiologists for high-quality imaging services.

Job Description: Radiology Technologist, StaffFlex contract 6 weeks $51.53/hr + diff Mon - Thu: 8a-5p, Fri: 8a -12p No call Other duties as assigned.

• Performs radiographic imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Positions, moves, and assists patients to ensure accurate imaging results.
• Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, monitors, and medical equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to perform scans on patients of all ages, adapting protocols as necessary.
• Screens patients for any contrast allergies and ensures proper identification of patients prior to performing exams.
• Educates patients about the imaging procedure and addresses any concerns they may have.
• Practices infection control standards and utilizes approved procedures to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Maintains a properly stocked, organized, and clean imaging room.
• Performs clerical duties, including answering telephones, completing patient records, filing, and scheduling.
• Monitors patient condition and cares for patient comfort, safety, and privacy during imaging procedures.
• Obtains and documents patient history and explains procedures to patients.
• Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality imaging services.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
• Able to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment [Preferred]

Education:

• Associate's from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology or JCERT Accreditation [Required]
