Job summary

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist for a per-diem role, typically 1 shift per week, at our Idaho facility. The technologist will perform radiologic imaging procedures, ensure safety, and document patient care in accordance with hospital protocols.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a two-year Radiologic Technology program, ARRT registration or eligibility, and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an approved two-year Radiologic Technology program.
  • Must be registered with ARRT or be registry eligible and possess a permit to practice where applicable.
  • Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiologic imaging procedures according to standards and protocols.
  • Maintain a safe, clean working environment and protect patients and staff from excess radiation.
  • Gain patient cooperation by explaining procedures and addressing questions.
  • Document patient care in department records and charts.
  • Maintain image quality by following established standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with facility personnel and follow policies.

Job description

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking aRadiology Technologist to join our team!

This position is a per-diem position, likely to be 1-shift per week!

At Northwest Specialty you would perform radiologic imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of treatment; answering questions. Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors. Maintains production and quality of radiographic images by following established standards and procedures. Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Cooperates with facility healthcare personnel and complies with facility policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an approved two-year Radiologic Technology program.
  • Must be registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or be registry eligible and possess a permit to practice where applicable.
  • Current BLS certification required.
