Job summary

Atrium Health in High Point Clinic is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic exams under Radiologist supervision. The position is on-site with PRN shift scheduling.

Qualifications include ARRT-recognized radiologic technology training and registry eligibility within 12 months, plus BLS. You will document patient histories, assist with contrast administration, and coordinate with radiology staff.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history pertaining to the procedure on physician requisition.
• Verifies patient identification verbally and with ID proof.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Operates equipment and ensures proper positioning for each procedure.
• Maintains records per departmental standards.

Position Highlights

• Location: High Point Clinic
• Shift Schedule: PRN – As needed

You'll Need

• Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date. BLS required

Essential Functions

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
• Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.
