Job summary

Northshore Home Health Care is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures, including plain films, fluoroscopy, portable, and OR exams, to support diagnostic imaging. You will explain procedures to patients, ensure safety, prepare contrast media, and monitor patient activity during procedures.

The role requires ARRT-R certification within 6 months of hire and BLS, with responsibilities spanning image capture, equipment maintenance, and a clean department environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and provide patient education
• Transport, position, and prepare patients for imaging
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and monitor protocols
• Prepare and administer contrast media within scope
• Ensure high-quality images are promptly submitted to PACS
• Maintain equipment and department cleanliness
• Perform limited emergency CT procedures if applicable

Key responsibilities include capturing high-quality images, maintaining equipment functionality, and ensuring a clean department environment. The role may include limited emergent CT procedures when needed.

Qualifications & Skills: Completion of a Radiology Technology program and ARRT-R certification within 6 months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Physical stamina for constant standing, lifting, and patient movement. Attention to safety, patient care, and image quality is essential.
