Colonial Group is seeking a Radiology Technician to perform prescribed radiographic procedures and ensure optimal patient care in a fast-paced department.

The role requires certification and licensure as applicable, with about one year of clinical radiology experience and strong communication skills to educate patients and families. You will support equipment QC, safety, and efficient workflow while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Certificate or diploma from an approved Radiology program.
  • ARRT national certification and state licensure if applicable.
  • Approximately 1 year of clinical radiology experience.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic procedures following departmental guidelines and policies.
  • Educate patients and families about procedures, risks and prevention.
  • Produce high quality images and maintain documentation for interpretation.
  • Demonstrate competence in invasive/interventional procedures as applicable.
  • Perform equipment quality control and troubleshoot to maintain performance.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and safe environment; adhere to safety policies.
  • Support department workflow and manage supplies to prevent interruptions.
  • Comply with policies, regulatory standards and professional guidelines.

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
This position performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Performs radiographic procedures and analysis according to departmental guidelines. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.
  • Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed as well as risk factors and prevention. Demonstrates professional behavior/conduct in all interactions, fosters teamwork, efficient use of resources and quality patient outcomes
  • Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation. Prepares and maintains accurate documentation.
  • Demonstrates competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures if applicable in accordance with established policies.
  • Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Demonstrates the ability to trouble shoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance. Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors. Adheres to safety policies.
  • Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice. This includes maintaining confidentiality of all work information.
  • Assures the efficient operation of workflow of the department by performing other duties as assigned. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services
  • Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.
  • Provides all customers of with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma/GED is required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited school of Radiology program.
  • Requires national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensure by the state regulatory agency if applicable.
  • This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with 1 year of experience.
  • Must demonstrate effective communication skills, human relations skills, analyze data and solve problems.
