Job summary

Shriners Children’s in Philadelphia seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging, primarily X-ray, for pediatric patients in a PRN capacity. You will ensure patient safety, comfort and high-quality images.

You will collaborate with radiologists and physicians to aid diagnosis, document images, communicate with families, and commit to ongoing professional growth in a compassionate pediatric setting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• Certificate Radiologic Technology credential required.
• ARRT certification required.
• BLS certification required.

• Work closely with radiologists and physicians to aid diagnosis.

Job Description

Job Summary

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing various modalities, primarily X-ray, to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric patients in a PRN (as needed) capacity. Ensures patient safety and comfort while producing high-quality images.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for accurately positioning patients and ensuring that a quality radiographic image is produced.
• Works closely with radiologists and physicians who interpret images to either diagnose or rule out disease or injury.
• Responsible for communication and documentation of patient images.
• Maintain communication with patients, parents, and medical personnel.
• Maintains on-going plan for personal growth and self-development.
• Demonstrates professional role requirements related to communication with peers and supervisor and flexibility during unexpected work related events.
