Medical City Arlington in Arlington, Texas, is seeking a Radiology Technologist for PRN (as needed) shifts. The role performs radiographic exams with standard and portable equipment, supports physicians with timely image delivery, and upholds patient safety standards.

Qualified candidates will be ARRT registered, Texas MRT license current, and graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program; BCLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered radiographer required.
• State registered radiologic technician.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Current MRT license issued by the State of Texas within scope.

Responsabilités

• Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays per safety procedures.
• Develop and process films and transmit to Radiologist for interpretation.
• Administer contrast media and medications within scope and regulations.
• Ensure prompt transfer of images to PACS with correct markers and data.
• Turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients; clean equipment.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Radiology Technologist operates standard, portable, and specialized X-ray equipment to perform routine and semi-complex radiographic examinations used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment. What You Will Do In This Role

• You will prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• You will develop and process films and transmit to a Radiologist for interpretation.
• You will administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• You will ensure prompt transfer of images and documents to PACS system (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
• You will turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
• You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
• State Registered Radiologic Technician
• Must be graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Current License as an (MRT) by the State of Texas required
