Job summary

Providence Milwaukie Hospital in Oregon seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform imaging examinations per physician orders, using a variety of sophisticated equipment, and considering each patient’s age and positioning needs while maintaining ALARA principles.

Qualifications

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• Oregon Radiographer License or Oregon Radiographer Temporary License upon hire.
• New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.
• Within 6 months of hire: ARRT certification.
• Upon hire: BLS - American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• The Radiology Technologist performs imaging examinations according to physicians orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment, taking into account individual patients unique and/or age-related needs.
• Utilizes clinical knowledge and judgment in regard for proper positioning, radiation dose calibration, and patient treatment needed to produce high quality images, while minimizing radiation exposure to patient and operator per ALARA.
