Job summary

Baton Rouge General Medical Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic exams across modalities with a strong emphasis on patient safety and diagnostic accuracy. You will position patients, operate imaging systems, and deliver high-quality images in a supportive imaging team environment.

Applicants should be graduate of an accredited radiography program, ARRT registered, hold Louisiana licensure, and bring 1–2 years of radiography experience with excellent communication

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program or equivalent
• ARRT registration is required
• Current Louisiana state radiographer licensure
• 1–2 years of radiography experience preferred
• Strong understanding of radiographic protocols, exposure techniques, and radiation safety
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic exams across modalities with emphasis on patient safety and diagnostic quality
• Position patients and adjust equipment to produce high-quality images
• Operate radiography equipment and digital imaging systems (PACS)
• Evaluate images, adjust technique, and document results in the electronic chart
• Maintain exam rooms and report equipment issues
• Adhere to safety standards and regulatory compliance (Joint Commission, DEQ, CMS, ACR, FDA, MQSA)
• Provide patient education and compassionate care
• Supervise radiologic technology students as needed
• Complete required education and maintain licensure and CPR
