UMass Memorial Health in Groton, CT is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate radiologic equipment and produce diagnostic images. You will ensure patient safety, adhere to ALARA, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to support quality care.
RESPONSIBILITIES include QC, patient history intake, explaining procedures in English, preparing contrast media, proper image labeling and PACS transmission. CPR certification and ARRT licensure required or eligible; prior radiology experience

This position operates or oversees operation of radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. The Radiological Technologist is responsible for monitoring and maintaining essential patient care and safety including practicing ALARA (As Low as Reasonably Achievable).

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
Department-specific competencies, including age-specific competencies and their measurements will be developed and maintained in the individual departments. This position performs a variety of duties involving conduct of all aspects of bone density tests and related duties, insuring technically accurate scans of designated skeletal areas of interest.
