Job summary

Benewah Community Hospital in St. Maries, Idaho, seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform a variety of procedures under a radiologist’s supervision, applying prescribed radiation with judgment and initiative for diagnostic or interventional work.

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or 2–4 years of related experience; ARRT certification or eligibility is required, with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ARRT certified or eligible; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a positive and professional atmosphere for patients and communicates with medical personnel.
• Positions patients for examinations according to protocols and provides immobilization as needed.
• Performs routine and emergent radiologic exams under radiologist supervision.
• Assists radiologists in interventional exams and contrast administration.
• Ensures infection control, sterile technique, and proper wear of radiation monitoring badges.
• Transmits images to PACS and manages records of procedures.
