Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Radiology Manager, the Radiologic Technologist is responsible for providing radiological services to patients according to physicians’ orders. Ensures patient safety and high-quality testing.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

Graduate of an accredited or registered school of Radiologic Technology.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

2 years of previous experience in Radiology.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Current certification with the Texas Medical Board. Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association is required. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are necessary as driving between campuses is required.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of positioning, radiation safety, and quality patient care. Ability to generate quality images in a timely manner.
