Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Sarasota is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our diagnostic team. You will coordinate imaging equipment, calculate technical factors, apply radiation safety measures, maintain gear, and process film to deliver high-quality exams on schedule for our patients and families.

Required ARRT certification and current CPR, plus a minimum of two years radiography training in an accredited program, along with working knowledge of radiological equipment.

Qualifications

• ARRT certified and state license as required.
• CPR certification current.
• Minimum 2 years radiography training in an accredited program.
• Working knowledge of radiological equipment and ability to perform specialized exams.

Responsibilities

• Types, proofreads, and mails results of the exams.
• Coordinates multiple factors to achieve a quality exam in appropriate timeframe.
• Utilize radiation safety devices.
• Attends departmental in-services and staff development programs.
• Maintains and cleans equipment work areas and reports malfunctions or breakage.
