Job summary

Duly Health and Care in Hinsdale/Westmont area seeks a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiologic equipment and perform x-rays for diagnostic purposes. You will position patients, explain procedures, and ensure radiation safety while supporting a collaborative team environment.

Role requires an Associate’s degree (or equivalent), AART registration or eligibility, IDNS license, and CPR certification. Evening and holiday shifts are required; travel may be needed in some assignments.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two‑year college or technical school; or six month to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be AART registered or eligible; also IDNS licensed.
• CPR certification.
• Years of Experience: 6 months - 2 years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) of body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by Radiologist.
• Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum view of specific areas of body requested by physician.
• Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
• Moves x‑ray equipment into specified positions and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance.
• Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
• Obtains patient’s pertinent history.
• Maintains crash cart.
• Maintain and stock inventory.
• Maintain OSHA regulations.
• Performs other projects and duties as related to department objective.
• Must be able to get along with others, to be a team player, to accept constructive criticism from your supervisor and be able to follow work rules.
• Report to lead technologist for work assignments.
• Will assist with film quality control.
• Required to work evening and holidays with responsibility for the operation of the department.
• Assists and relieve manager expediting the patient work flow through the department.
