Job summary

Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations under the supervision of a Radiologist. The role includes coordinating daily activities, verifying patient identity, and ensuring accurate documentation.

The successful candidate will be registered or registry-eligible in Radiologic Technology, with CPR certification, and able to work with diverse patient populations in a high-volume hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• Must be registry eligible with registry completed within 1 year of hire; CPR certification required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development and applies appropriate skills for the patient population served.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures under the direction of the Radiologist.
• Documents patient history pertaining to the procedure on requisition.
• Verifies patient identity before procedures.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Operates equipment and demonstrates proper anatomic positioning.
• Maintains required departmental records.
