Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiologic procedures using standard, portable, and specialized x-ray equipment to support physicians in diagnosis and treatment.

You will assist with patient positioning, ensure safety, manage contrast when needed, and follow ALARA principles while maintaining records and PACS/RIS workflow. This role is part of a large health system with over 20,000 caregivers.

Qualifications

• License/Certification: RTR licensure in MA (temporary MA license accepted).
• ARRT certification in Radiology required within 12 months of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and obtain consent; confirm identity before procedures.
• Position patients and equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Maintain safety and ALARA principles to limit radiation exposure.
• Operate radiology equipment per department protocols.
• Ensure image quality and proper documentation in RIS/PACS.
• Keep work area clean and stocked with supplies.

Education

RTR licensure in Massachusetts (temporary MA license allowed)
