Job description

Premiere Healthcare Staffing, a specialized healthcare staffing agency based in Cary, North Carolina, is seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist II to join our network of allied health professionals supporting hospitals, clinics, and long‑term care facilities. In this role, you will provide high‑quality, patient‑centered diagnostic imaging services while working within diverse clinical environments, representing a staffing partner known for integrity, responsiveness, and strong relationships with both clinicians and client organizations.

As a Radiology Technologist II, you will independently perform a wide range of routine and moderately complex radiographic procedures, including general diagnostic X‑ray, portable imaging, and, where applicable, fluoroscopic and surgical C‑arm studies in operating rooms and procedure suites. You will be responsible for verifying patient identity, reviewing relevant clinical histories, explaining procedures, and positioning patients to obtain optimal images while following ALARA radiation safety principles. You will select and adjust technical factors, assess image quality, and collaborate with radiologists and ordering providers to ensure that each exam appropriately addresses the clinical question.

Working in fast‑paced healthcare settings, you will navigate different equipment, workflows, and documentation systems across assigned facilities. You will maintain accurate and timely records in PACS/RIS and electronic medical records, documenting exam details, patient history, contrast use, and any relevant observations. You will adhere to all facility‑specific policies and procedures, as well as regulatory standards related to radiation safety, infection prevention, OSHA, HIPAA, and accreditation requirements. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will coordinate with nurses, physicians, and other allied health staff to manage exam schedules, prioritize urgent cases, and support safe, efficient patient throughput.

You will play a key role in patient safety and comfort, using appropriate transfer, positioning, and immobilization techniques for patients with varying levels of mobility and acuity. You will follow standardized infection control protocols and aseptic techniques in all care areas, ensuring equipment and exam rooms are properly cleaned and prepared. In urgent and emergent situations, you will respond promptly and professionally, following facility protocols and escalating concerns to the clinical care team when necessary.

Premiere Healthcare Staffing offers the opportunity to build your career as a Radiology Technologist II while making a direct impact on patient care. You will benefit from a service‑oriented, collaborative culture that values reliability, clinical quality, and respectful partnerships with both clinicians and facilities. As a full‑time field‑based technologist, you can expect competitive compensation, access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, and 401(k) options, along with ongoing support from a dedicated staffing team focused on aligning your skills and preferences with the right clinical environments. This role is ideal for a radiologic technologist with solid clinical experience who enjoys variety in practice settings, adapts quickly to new environments, and is committed to delivering consistent, high‑quality imaging and compassionate patient care.
