Job summary

PIH Health Downey Hospital seeks a Radiology Technologist for a full-time 0.8 FTE position in a variable shift. The role emphasizes patient care, radiation safety, and high-quality imaging across radiography and fluoroscopy.

The incumbent collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, maintains PACS/CR/DR imaging workflows, and demonstrates independence while delivering top-tier diagnostic services.

Qualifications

• Requires ARRT certification and CRT within 30 days of orientation.
• Fluoroscopy permit must be obtained within 60 days of orientation.
• CPR/BLS as required by AHA.
• 1 year hospital work experience or 2 years internship.
• Experience with PACS and CR/DR radiography.

Responsibilities

• Provide radiologic imaging services using general radiography and fluoroscopy.
• Operate equipment safely to minimize radiation exposure to patient, staff and self.
• Collaborate with nursing and medical teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain documentation and adherence to established standards of practice.
