Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate imaging equipment and perform routine diagnostic procedures in accordance with physician orders and hospital standards.

The role requires completion of an accredited Radiology Technology Program, ARRT(R) certification and current BLS, with preference for an Associate's degree. Join a team focused on quality patient care and safety in a busy Memphis facility.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Radiology Technology Program.
• ARRT(R) registration and BLS within 14 days of hire; state licensure as required.
• Associates degree in related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods as requested by a licensed physician.
• Exercise judgement in selecting and computing settings for each patient.
• Develop an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
