Atrium Health Union is a 182-bed hospital in Monroe, NC, providing comprehensive emergency services and specialty medical care. The campus offers a variety of medical services, including a day surgery center, cancer treatment center, long-term care facility, behavioral health center, specialty care clinics, a community wellness and outreach program, a women and children’s center, interventional heart program and physician practices. For more than 15 years this hospital has been serving the Monroe area, and we have worked to add new services and more specialized physicians and programs to meet the growing health care needs of our community.

Performs radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of the Radiologist. Coordinates daily activities to include performing examinations and associated clerical duties.
Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology.
Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date. CPR certification required.
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.
Requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers. Handles equipment and monitoring supplies. Must have good oral and written communication skills to interact with patients and hospital staff. May be required to frequently stretch, bend, twist, squat or kneel in operating radiographic equipment. Must be able to use hands for power gripping, speed work and precision during manipulation of radiographic equipment and in the case of injured and diseased patients. Vision and hearing for distances of up to 10 feet is necessary. May be exposed to various physical conditions throughout the workday such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and being near moving equipment. Able to adapt to changes in temperature and humidity.
