Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Technologist's Assistant for a per diem position. You will support technologists to keep imaging schedules on time and ensure the scanning area runs smoothly and is organized.

The role offers varied shifts and day-to-day duties in a busy radiology department. Responsibilities include assisting with patient flow, preparing jackets and films, setting up rooms, and coordinating between patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age.
• Preferred High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred ongoing enrollment in a Radiologic Technologist program.

Responsibilities

• Monitors schedules for all modalities and adjusts as needed; keeps technologists informed.
• Greets and escorts patients to changing room; briefly explains procedure.
• Prepares patient jackets and compiles films in jackets by date and number.
• Assists technologists in room setup between patients; handles coils and tables.
• Prepares next patient for scanning to optimize scheduling.
• Restores and networks previous exams for next day's return.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Currently enrolled in Radiologic Technologist program
