Job summary

Agupdate is seeking a Radiologic Technologist in Tupelo, MS to perform high quality diagnostic procedures and provide timely radiology services. You will organize workflow, assist physicians during procedures, and maintain excellent patient communication and service quality in a hospital setting.

Requires graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT registration or eligibility, MS MRT license, CPR certification, and ongoing education to stay current with radiology practices.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Registered or registry eligible by ARRT.
  • License as required by State of Mississippi (MRT).
  • Strong knowledge of radiographic anatomy.
  • American Heart Association CPR certification; required.
  • Keep abreast of changes in Radiology with continuing education.
  • Good written and verbal communication; required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high quality/cost efficient diagnostic procedures for patient and department.
  • Provide radiology services in a timely manner while performing high quality and cost efficient diagnostic procedures.
  • Organize work flow to prevent delays.
  • Assist Physicians and other medical staff during procedures as requested/required.
  • Provide excellent customer service in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, family members, Physicians, other medical staff and NMHS/NMMC staff members.
  • Attend required in-services, annual review and educational programs.
  • Be knowledgeable of procedures, positions, supplies, and equipment used in Radiological examinations.
  • Stay abreast of changes in Radiology.
  • Adhere to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines.
  • Comply with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statutes.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Job Knowledge
