Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist III for the Williamsburg area. This is a full-time day shift with a generous benefits package and a 10K sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

The Radiology Tech III performs general diagnostic imaging under physician supervision, including positioning, equipment operation, and patient care, with patient education and proper documentation. Requirements include a trade school in Radiologic Technology, 1 year of experience, and ARRT registry

Qualifications

• Trade school graduate (Radiologic Technology).
• 1 year of experience is required.
• Registry-eligible graduates must obtain ARRT registry within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct general diagnostic radiological imaging studies under the direction of a qualified physician.
• Position patients for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology.
• Operate radiation-producing equipment and electronic radiology systems.
• Prepare patient room/equipment/medications and maintain supply inventory.
• Explain examinations and procedures to patients and complete department documentation.

Overview:

Sentara is hiring a Radiology Technologist III in the Williamsburg area!!!

This is a Full-Time Day shift opportunity with GREAT BENEFITS!!!

A bonus of 10K is available for qualified candidates.

The Radiology Tech III conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include: positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment/medications, and maintains adequate supply inventory. Explains examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation.

Qualifications:

Trade school graduate (Radiologic Technology)

1 year of experience is required

7 -12 months of Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems

4-6 months Basic managerial experience of coordinating the work of others

Registry-eligible graduates in lieu of ARRT, must obtain ARRT registry within 180 days of hire.
