Job summary

Agile Occupational Medicine is seeking a Radiology Technician to perform diagnostic X-ray procedures in a fast-paced outpatient clinic in California. You will ensure patient safety, explain procedures, and collaborate with physicians and staff to maintain high-quality imaging studies.

Required ARRT certification (R), active CA licensure, and BLS. The role offers a daytime schedule, competitive hourly pay, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT certification (R) and CA state licensure; BLS.
  • Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures and radiation safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures per physician orders and established protocols.
  • Verify patient identity, review medical history, and explain procedures for comfort.
  • Position patients to obtain optimal images while minimizing exposure.
  • Capture, process, and transmit digital radiographic images using PACS.
  • Ensure images meet quality standards before submission to providers.
  • Maintain radiation safety and ALARA principles.
  • Use protective devices and safe practices to protect patients and staff.
  • Monitor patients for distress and respond appropriately.
  • Maintain patient privacy per HIPAA and clinic policies.
  • Prepare and clean exam rooms and equipment; document procedures.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate service.
  • Assist with front-office tasks when required.

Job description

Position Summary

Radiology Technician performs high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in an outpatient clinical setting while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality. This role supports physicians and clinical staff by producing accurate imaging studies, maintaining equipment, and contributing to an efficient workflow. The Radiology Technician provides exceptional patient care consistent with regulatory standards and organizational protocols.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Compensation

Starting compensation range is $40.00-$45.00 hourly. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
  • Verify patient identity, review medical history, and explain procedures to ensure patient understanding and comfort.
  • Position patients correctly to obtain optimal images while minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Capture, process, and transmit digital radiographic images using PACS and related systems.
  • Ensure images meet quality standards before submission to providers for interpretation.
  • Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety standards and ALARA principles
  • Utilize protective devices and safe practices to safeguard patients, staff, and self.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions or distress and respond appropriately.
  • Maintain patient privacy in compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies.
  • Prepare, clean, and manage exam rooms and imaging equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including procedure logs and patient records.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate service as needed.
  • Assist with front-office tasks when required, such as scheduling or patient check-in
  • Work closely with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other team members to support seamless patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with referring providers to clarify imaging needs.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current ARRT certification (R) and active CA state licensure.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures, radiation safety, and equipment operations
  • Excellent patient-service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
  • Prior experience in an occupational medicine or outpatient clinic preferred
  • Prior experience with EMR system preferred
