Job summary

Southcoast Health in Fall River, MA seeks a Radiology Technologist to join the Charlton Memorial Hospital team. You will perform imaging studies, position patients, document exams in the EHR, and ensure safety and quality across modalities.

Requirements include an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT radiography certification/registration, MA or RI licensure as applicable, BLS, and vaccination. A $6,000 new hire sign-on bonus is available for this day-shift, on-site role.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited Radiologic Technology program and primary ARRT certification in Radiography within one year of eligibility.
• Current RT licensure in MA and/or RI required based on location.
• BLS certification required.
• ARRT registration required.
• Fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or eligible for exemption with signed declaration.

Responsibilities

• Perform diversified clinical imaging procedures under supervision.
• Prepare and position patients; select imaging equipment and supplies.
• Identify, document, and transport radiographic data to the EHR; educate patients as needed.
• Apply ALARA principles to minimize exposure to patient and staff; ensure MR safety practices.
• Assist physicians during procedures and ensure quality imaging.

We are searching for a talented Radiology Technologist

• $6,000 new hire sign on bonus for this position. (rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible)*

Hours: 24 flex 32hrs

Shift: Day shift, 7:00am - 3:00pm weekdays, 10:30am - 7:00pm mid shift every other weekend

Location: Charlton Memorial Hospital - Fall River, MA

Responsibilities

Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Radiology Clinical Services or designee, perform diversified clinical patient care, technical and related duties within assigned modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team. Assume responsibility for each assigned patient, perform patient assessments, and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure request. Obtain pertinent information from patient’s chart and document all data within the EHR. Educate patient for exam. Position patient and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies. Identify, prepare and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure. Select technical factors/ parameters/sequences to produce quality images. Properly identify anatomy and evaluate images for technical quality. Apply the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self and others and aware of MR safety practices. Assist physicians in performing procedures.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology and attainment of primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography within one year of eligibility.
• Current RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island is required based on location assignment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $37.11 - USD $58.33 /Hr.
